About Me

I am a Board-Certified Family Medicine physician with more than 10 years of experience caring for patients in hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, nursing homes, and outpatient clinics throughout Kansas.  Those experiences have given me a broad perspective on health-not only how to treat illness, but how important it is to recognize problems early and help prevent them.

Throughout my career, one lesson has become increasingly clear: many serious health problems can often be prevented or better managed through early intervention, education, and a strong relationship between patients and their physician. It reinforced why I chose Family Medicine - the opportunity to know my patients over time and help them stay healthy, not simply treat them when something goes wrong.

I founded VietDoc because I believe healthcare should be simple, accessible, and personal. Too often, patients experience long waits for appointments, rushed visits, confusing instructions, and difficulty reaching their doctor when questions arise.  I wanted to create a different kind of experience - one built around more time, easier access, clear communication, and thoughtful follow-up.

Whether you are managing a chronic condition, focusing on prevention, or simply looking for a physician who takes the time to listen, my goal is simple: to make sure you understand your health, have a clear plan, and feel confident about what comes next.

My Journey in Medicine

Feb 2024 - Present

Aug 2018 - Feb 2024

During my time practicing outpatient Family Medicine, I found the opportunity to focus on what matters most to me: building long-term relationships with my patients, identifying health concerns early, and helping people stay healthy before serious problems develop. This experience ultimately inspired the kind of primary care I wanted to create with VietDoc.

After completing residency, I practiced Hospital Medicine throughout hospitals in Wichita, caring for patients with a wide range of serious and complex medical conditions. I saw firsthand how uncontrolled chronic conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure could eventually lead to hospitalization and serious complications.

Those experiences strengthened my belief that some of the most important work in medicine happens before a patient reaches the hospital - through prevention, early intervention, education, and consistent primary care.  That perspective eventually led me back to outpatient Family Medicine.

July 2011- July 2018

I earned my medical degree at Edward Via Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine, and completed my Family Medicine residency at the University of Kansas in Salina.  My training gave me experience caring for patients across outpatient clinics, hospitals, emergency departments, and community health settings.
